This role is critical to ensuring the security, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of our AWS infrastructure, spread across multiple accounts.


Key Responsibilities:


Access Management:

  • Develop and enforce access policies and procedures to ensure appropriate levels of access control across all AWS accounts.
  • Implement and manage IAM roles, users, and groups to facilitate secure and efficient operations.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure the security of our AWS infrastructure by implementing best practices and staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and threats.
  • Conduct regular security audits and assessments, and implement necessary improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and organizational standards.

Data and Infrastructure Security:

  • Design and implement robust security measures to protect data integrity and privacy.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and breaches in a timely manner.
  • Manage and maintain encryption protocols and secure communication channels.

Cost Optimization:

  • Analyze and monitor AWS spending to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and reduce unnecessary expenditures.
  • Provide regular cost reports and forecasts to management.

AWS Administration:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of AWS environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Manage routine administrative tasks such as backup, recovery, patch management, and updates.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Develop and implement long-term strategies for AWS infrastructure management aligned with organizational goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for AWS-related initiatives and projects.

Incident Management:

  • Develop and maintain incident response plans to handle system outages, performance issues, and other emergencies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and implement preventative measures.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of AWS infrastructure with business needs.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status and performance of AWS environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in AWS administration and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Proven expertise in AWS services, security best practices, and cost optimization techniques.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security – Specialty) are highly desirable.
