Job Description: Sr. Manager - Content and Catalogue
Position Overview:
The Senior Content and Catalogue Manager is responsible for overseeing the creation, management, and optimization of product content and catalogues for both online and offline retail marketing channels. This role requires a deep understanding of retail dynamics, content strategy, and catalogue development to ensure seamless integration of product information, high-quality visuals, and brand alignment across platforms. The ideal candidate excels in managing cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery, and driving consumer engagement through effective content presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Strategy and Development:
- Develop and execute content strategies to enhance product visibility and consumer engagement across online and offline platforms.
- Create compelling and accurate product descriptions, specifications, and marketing copy aligned with brand guidelines.
Catalogue Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end development of product catalogues for print and digital channels, ensuring accuracy and visual appeal.
- Collaborate with design and creative teams to ensure catalogues meet brand and marketing objectives.
- Update and maintain product catalogues regularly to reflect new launches, seasonal updates, and promotions.
Online Marketing Integration:
- Optimize content for e-commerce platforms, ensuring consistency and adherence to SEO best practices.
- Manage product listings, images, and content across online marketplaces, websites, and mobile apps.
- Coordinate with digital marketing teams to align product content with online campaigns.
Offline Marketing Coordination:
- Develop and manage product content for print materials, including brochures, flyers, and in-store displays.
- Ensure catalogues and content are tailored for regional and store-specific marketing needs.
Team and Stakeholder Management:
- Lead a team of content creators, editors, and catalogue specialists to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with merchandising, sales, creative, and marketing teams to gather product information and align strategies.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all content is accurate, error-free, and compliant with regulatory standards and brand policies.
- Conduct regular audits of online and offline content to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Performance Analysis:
- Monitor the performance of product content and catalogues using analytics tools to improve engagement and sales.
- Generate reports on the effectiveness of content strategies and suggest improvements based on data insights.
Innovation and Trend Awareness:
- Stay updated on industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to enhance content strategies.
- Introduce innovative approaches to catalogue presentation and product storytelling.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Proven 7 -8 years of experience in content and catalogue management, preferably in the retail or e-commerce sector.
- Strong knowledge of SEO principles, content marketing strategies, and product cataloguing tools.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities to handle multiple deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with omnichannel retail strategies.
- Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics and performance tracking platforms.
- Knowledge of digital marketing techniques, including SEM, PPC, and email marketing.
