Job description

Role Summary:

As a Senior App & Website Developer, you will be responsible for leading the development of mobile and web applications using Flutter for mobile and Python frameworks such as FastAPI and Django for back-end development. In addition, you will utilize AWS Cloud Services for scalable and secure infrastructure. This role includes overseeing a development team, managing project deliverables, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities:Development and Architecture:

  • Mobile App Development: Lead the design and development of mobile applications using Flutter, ensuring performance, scalability, and user-friendly design.
  • Backend Development: Develop and maintain robust backend systems using Python (FastAPI, Django), ensuring APIs are efficient, scalable, and secure.
  • AWS Cloud Services: Architect and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based infrastructure using AWS. Ensure optimal use of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.) for deployment and scalability.
  • Code Review and Standards: Establish and enforce coding standards and best practices. Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Full-Stack Development: Collaborate on front-end and back-end integration, ensuring seamless communication between mobile apps, websites, and server-side logic.

Project & Team Management:

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and lead a team of developers, ensuring they are aligned with project goals, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Project Planning: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of development projects. Define project timelines, scope, and milestones.
  • End-to-End Delivery: Take ownership of all aspects of the development lifecycle, from initial planning and design to deployment and maintenance.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other departments to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Scalability and Performance Optimization:

  • Application Scaling: Design and implement scalable architectures that can handle growing user bases and increasing demand.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize mobile apps, websites, and APIs for performance, including load times, responsiveness, and resource usage.
  • Monitoring & Maintenance: Ensure high availability, performance, and security of applications by implementing proper monitoring, alerting, and maintenance strategies.

Security and Compliance:

  • Security Best Practices: Implement security best practices across all levels of the application stack. Ensure data privacy and protection in line with industry standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all systems and applications comply with relevant regulatory and legal requirements, including GDPR and other privacy standards.

Requirements:

  • 7 years and more of experience in app and web development, with a focus on Flutter, Python (FastAPI, Django), and AWS Cloud Services.
  • Proven track record in designing and developing scalable mobile and web applications.
  • Strong understanding of API development, RESTful services, and microservices architecture.
  • Expertise in cloud-based infrastructure and AWS services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudFront.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Experience in managing development teams and delivering projects within tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.).
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in DevOps and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with machine learning or AI is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a startup environment or a fast-paced tech company.
