Location: Mumbai, India (Vikhroli)

Shift Timing: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM EST/EDT (US Shift Timing) - Minimum 8 hours per day

Reporting to: Chief of Staff


About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled HR Manager to join our team in Mumbai. This role is focused on HR Operations within US IT Consulting and Staff Augmentation, specifically addressing US compliance, payroll, and labor laws. The successful candidate will be experienced in US and India HR processes, managing both operational and compliance aspects while working directly.


Key Responsibilities:

1. HR Operations & Employee Life Cycle Management

  • Manage end-to-end HR processes from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Handle HR databases, payroll compliance, employee records, and background verification.
  • Ensure accurate documentation using HR tools like Workday, HRPod, and ServiceNow.

2. Compliance and Immigration

  • Oversee US immigration processes including visa filings, extensions, and amendments.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, focusing on global mobility and statutory compliance across visa categories (H1B, L1A, L1B, EAD).

3. Data Management and Reporting

  • Maintain data accuracy and generate HR metrics, audit reports, and compliance records.
  • Support internal and external audits using tools like Excel, Workday, and Tracker I-9.

4. Contract and Vendor Management

  • Manage contract lifecycles, including negotiations, executions, and client/vendor agreements.
  • Ensure all legal documentation meets compliance standards.

5. Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Oversee payroll processes, from timekeeping to tax compliance, ensuring accuracy.
  • Address payroll inquiries, and assist employees with benefit programs and enrollment.

6. Compliance with Labor Laws

  • Interpret and apply both US and Indian labor laws.
  • Conduct regular audits and update policies to meet legal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR Operations, Payroll & Compliance for US-based companies.
  • Proven expertise in US IT Consulting and Staff Augmentation (mandatory).
  • Proficient in HRIS and HR-related software.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and compliance for both the US and India.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • LLB or similar qualification.


Additional Requirements:

  • Must have prior experience working US shift hours.
  • Must be based in Mumbai or open to relocate.
