Security Engineer for Structured Data Protection( Hybrid: Pune)

Key Responsibilities Lead structured data protection initiatives acrosson-prem and clouddatabases (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL). Implement and maintainData Security Platforms (DSP) ,Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) , andDLPcontrols. Design encryption, tokenization, and masking strategies to securePII, PCI, PHIand other regulated datasets. Conductdata classification and discoveryto identify sensitive information and ensure proper handling. Monitor and respond to database-related security alerts, incidents, and vulnerabilities. Ensure compliance with industry standards such asGDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, ISO 27001etc. Collaborate with DevOps and DB teams to integrate security controls into data lifecycle workflows. Perform secure configuration reviews, vulnerability assessments, access control audits, and risk assessments. Automate data protection processes usingscripting(Python, PowerShell, Bash). Create policies, technical documentation, runbooks, and provide security guidance to stakeholders. Technical Skills Required ✔ Strong experience inStructured Data SecurityandDatabase Security ✔ Hands-on with tools such as: Imperva DAM ,IBM Guardium ,Varonis ,Symantec/Broadcom DLP ,Microsoft Purview Experience withKey Management Systems(Thales, Azure Key Vault, AWS KMS, HSMs) Encryption, hashing, data obfuscation, tokenization SIEM/SOARtools: Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel Strong knowledge ofnetwork & application security fundamentals SQL and advanced scripting skills
