Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer Architect to lead our data engineering efforts.
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Snowflake, data warehousing, data pipeline design,
  • and a strong background in modern data engineering tools and practices.
  • This role will be crucial in designing and implementing scalable data solutions that support our business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust data architecture solutions utilizing Snowflake and data warehousing best practices.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines using tools such as DBT and Apache Airflow to ensure seamless data flow and transformation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data projects.
  • Optimize existing data processes and workflows to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain RDBMS databases, with a focus on AWS RDS - MySQL, MS SQL*Server, ensuring data integrity and availability.
  • Utilize Alteryx for data preparation, blending, and advanced analytics workflows.
  • Develop best practices for data governance, security, and quality assurance.
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on data architecture and design.
  • Strong expertise in Snowflake, including data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining data pipelines using DBT and Apache Airflow.
  • Solid experience with RDBMS, particularly AWS RDS, and SQL optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with Alteryx for data analytics and preparation.
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies, especially AWS, and experience with services such as S3, EventBridge, and Lambda.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools.
