IFC is a global development institution that focuses on the private sector in emerging markets to create markets and opportunities in developing countries. In the fiscal year 2023, IFC committed a record US$43.7 billion to private companies in developing countries to combat poverty and boost prosperity amid global crises. To support its growth strategy, IFC is looking for a Senior Investment Officer specializing in the Financial Sector to join the Financial Institutions Group in Mumbai, India. The candidate will play a key role in developing investment pipelines in the South Asia region and collaborating with stakeholders to maximize the impact of Upstream efforts.

Duties and Accountabilities:

The Senior Investment Officer will have the following responsibilities:

Identify investment opportunities for financial institutions in South Asia.Evaluate and propose new financing platforms and instruments.Collaborate with teams to develop regional strategies.Create feasibility studies and implementation plans for projects.Design scalable solutions and platforms for emerging markets.Conduct data analysis and contribute to sector-specific reforms.Facilitate knowledge sharing and promote best practices.Mentor junior staff members.Selection Criteria:
Master's degree in relevant fields.12+ years of financial sector experience.Commitment to development.Understanding of IFC's strategic priorities.Capacity for innovation and new idea generation.Experience in project management and reporting.Strong analytical and communication skills.Ability to engage with various stakeholders.Source:
