Role : Network SME - Infinera 7100 Platform
Job Description :
We have an urgent requirement for SME on Infinera 7100 platform, let me know if the following skillset is available.
He can be from Level3 support or Development/testing area.
Here are the key responsibilities and qualifications for this position :
- Escalation Management
- Handle Escalations : Be the point of contact for escalated issues in relation to Infinera 7100 platform that other Operational and Engineering teams cannot resolve.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex network incidents promptly. May require occasional after-hours support.
- Collaborate : Work closely with other support tiers, including Level 1 and Level 2 engineers as well as others in the Engineering team to ensure efficient issue resolution.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis to identify root causes of recurring problems and prevent future escalations.
Technical Expertise :
- Network Troubleshooting : Utilise your deep understanding of DWDM technology and its implementation on Infinera 7100 platform to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
- Hardware and Software : Address issues related to 7100 hardware (Nano subrack, line system modules and various transponders) and software components including TNMS and Craft Station.
- System Availability : Monitor network performance and ensure high availability. Collaborate with Northbound systems on the storage and reporting of 7100 system and service Skills :
- 3+ years of Level 4 Support experience on Infinera 7100 DWDM platform, including software, hardware (including but not limited to Nano subrack, system controller modules, optical line modules and transponders).
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting 7100 platform related issues via TNMS (Transend Network Management System).
- Strong analytical skills on performance and problems.
- Ability to work during Melbourne business hours on daily basis to deal with urgent escalations from other Telstra teams.
- Ability to attend Melbourne based lab to reproduce and troubleshoot complex issues that cannot be resolved remotely.
- In-depth understanding of applications and services of DWDM and OTN technologies.
- Proficiency in coordinating incident resolution activities.
- Expert for resolving escalated technical issues on Telstra's widely deployed Infinera 7100 DWDM platform.
- Ensure seamless operations, troubleshooting complex problems, and providing top-tier support to our customers.
- Process Enhancements: Champion process improvements across functional teams (Engineering, Operations and other teams) based on insights from escalated cases.
- Document Solutions and Effective Communication.
Not required but highly desirable :
- Working experiences with Ciena 6500 platforms.
- Working experiences with Ciena RLS(Reconfigurable Line System) platforms.
- Good programming skills with Python and/or other programming languages.
- Basic understanding of Ethernet switching, and IP routing protocols.
- Work on and learn other DWDM platform Telstra deploy, including tasks beyond support tasks including but not limited to solutioning, testing, and automation.
