We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Developer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our data engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in developing and optimizing data solutions on the Snowflake platform.
As a Snowflake Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and optimizing performance to meet the needs of our business.
Key Responsibilities :
- Snowflake Development : Design, develop, and maintain data solutions on the Snowflake platform.
- Data Integration : Build and manage data integration workflows to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into Snowflake.
- Performance Optimization : Optimize the performance of Snowflake databases, including query tuning and resource management.
- Data Modeling : Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and data marts to support business intelligence and analytics.
- ETL/ELT Processes : Design and implement ETL/ELT processes using tools like Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica, or custom scripts.
- Data Quality : Ensure data quality and integrity through the implementation of data validation and cleansing processes.
- Collaboration : Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Documentation : Prepare comprehensive documentation for data solutions, including design specifications, data flows, and process workflows.
- Security and Compliance : Implement and maintain data security and compliance policies within Snowflake.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Technical Expertise : Strong technical skills in Snowflake, including database design, data modeling, and query optimization.
- SQL Proficiency : Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
- Data Integration : Experience with data integration tools and techniques, including ETL/ELT processes.
- Programming Languages : Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and automation.
- Data Warehousing : Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Cloud Platforms : Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly their data services.
- Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management : Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
