About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Presales - Compute & Storage Solution Architect to join our team.
In this role, you will play a critical part in the sales cycle by collaborating closely with the sales team to identify customer requirements, design optimal solutions, and close deals for servers, storage, HCI (Hyperconverged Infrastructure), and backup solutions.
You will leverage your in-depth technical knowledge and solution-oriented approach to deliver best-fit, cost-effective solutions from leading OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Design and Sizing:
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer use cases, challenges, and application requirements.
- Design and size on-premises server, storage, and HCI solutions that meet customer needs and specifications.
- Utilize your expertise in data backup solutions to design and implement robust backup strategies.
Technical Expertise:
- Possess proven experience in using at least three OEM sizing tools (e.g., HPE OCA, Dell EMC configurator, NetApp Fusion tool, Pure Storage Sizer, Nutanix Sizer, Cisco CCW) to accurately configure solutions.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of data storage protocols like SMB, NFS, iSCSI, FC, and NVMeoF.
- Have hands-on experience with various operating systems (Windows, Redhat) and virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM, HCI platforms, and Containers).
Proof of Concept (POC) Development:
- Take ownership of developing and delivering POCs for critical customer use cases.
- Effectively demonstrate the value and capabilities of proposed solutions to customers.
Sales Enablement:
- Proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within customer accounts.
- Collaborate closely with major OEM vendors (HPE, Cisco, Dell EMC, Lenovo, NetApp, Nutanix, VMware, Citrix, Rubrik, Veeam, Veritas, Commvault) to obtain technical support and resources.
- Partner with the sales team to define the scope of work and provide tentative cost estimates for post-sales implementation of complex solutions.
Communication and Presentation Skills:
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills to clearly explain technical concepts and proposed solutions to customers.
- Effectively present schematic diagrams and data flow models to illustrate solution architecture.
- Fluency in English is a must.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 6-10 years of experience in designing and sizing complex on-premises server and storage solutions from leading OEM vendors (HPE, Lenovo/IBM, Dell EMC, Hitachi Vantara, NetApp, Cisco UCS, Cisco HyperFlex, Pure Storage, Rubrik).
- Good understanding of backup and archival solutions (Rubrik, Veritas, EMC Networker, EMC Data Domain, Veeam, Commvault, Acronis, etc.).
- Proven ability to deliver technical presentations and explain complex solutions to non-technical audiences.
Desired Skills and Certifications (Preferred):
- Product and technology certifications from leading OEM vendors (eg. , HPE, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, etc.).
- Familiarity with OEM subscription licensing models (Microsoft, VMware, Oracle, RHEL, SAP HANA, etc. ).
