SUMMARY

Cloud DB Engineer (Cloud SQL, RDS or similar) maintain, manage, and administer the relational MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server databases in the cloud.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain, manage and administer your relational MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server databases in the cloud
Provision and configure cloud databases.
Design and implement database security best practices.
Perform database administration tasks.
Monitor database performance and capacity.
Perform database schema design, migration, and optimization.
Proficiency in writing scripts using Python and SQL for database automation tasks
Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues.
Collaborate with application developers and other teams.

QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in computer science and engineering is preferred.
Current coding experience and expertise in Terraform, Python.
2+ years of experience in cloud operations, Database, or related roles.
Strong Exposure on various database(mysql,postgres,aurora,etc.,)
MySQL Database Administrator Certification preferred.
Google Cloud Certification preferred.
AWS Certified Database (good to have)
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
Experience with cloud-based database platforms – GCP preferred.
Good to have Google Cloud SQL , AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database, etc.
Experience with database replication and high availability configurations.
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting database issues
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
