Your role

and responsibilities:

As a Director of Software Engineering , you will be responsible for the resource build-out of one of our clearing platforms in India. You will work in a multi-functional product engineering team with highly skilled and experienced Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and Test Engineers.

You will be overall responsible for your development team delivering best-in class technology to Nasdaq Marketplace Technology's global customer base. You will be expected to lead, motivate and inspire your team to keep them engaged. You will work very closely with other delivery teams, product teams and project managers to make sure teams work together in an optimal way. You are expected to stay up to date on the latest industry and leadership trends and apply them to make your team more efficient and/or improving the product for our customers. You will also support employees' well-being during change initiatives, addressing their questions as much as possible, and to help them overcome concerns. Your responsibilities will be related to leadership of a software development team in a DevOps oriented environment for a clearing system. Responsibilities include: · Lead product development team of 8-15 members as a technology leader. Interface with client teams and build good rapport with them. · Participate in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, develop project estimates, schedules, and code reviews. Improve our processes to help increase efficiency.

We expect you to have:

14+ years of experience in Software Development with excellent knowledge of Java, databases, and cloud development. Prior experience interfacing with clients. E xperience working in agile teams using Scrum or Kanban. DevOps and CI/CD experience is a great plus. A proven track record of establishing and building-out software development teams. Excellent leadership, social, communication and organizational skills as you will build global relationships with colleagues and customers across geographies, time zones and cultures. Excellent knowledge of Java, databases and cloud development. Experience of working with financial systems, preferably financial trading, clearing, and settlement systems. Education Qualification: A Master or Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent work experience.

It would be great if you have

Experience working with systems of high volume of transactions and/or sub-millisecond latency. Experience driving agile transformations
