Role Purpose Summary:

The Hardware Engineer II is a professional level member of a global R&D Team.

The role is of a hands-on Electrical/Electronic engineer who is motivated & technically competent of the new product design and update of existing products.

The person will play key role in capitalizing engineering knowledge to assist team in its PCBA Risk Mitigation strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities:


As part of a multi-functional development team, major responsibility will include driving PCBA Risk mitigation strategy and execution of projects for Electronics commodities on product level.


  • Responsible for technical delivery of Electrical & Electronics related projects. Understand designs and concepts from the lead and ensure the technical quality of actions.
  • Own & Implement technically sophisticated projects right from scoping to implementation
  • Should have good knowledge on the compliance requirement & should support product regulatory compliance testing.
  • Proficient to synthesise specifications of electronic components into product fitment.
  • Work with cross function team to understand customer requirement, participate in system / subsystem design review, finalize electronics design requirement by reviewing with systems & global engineering teams
  • Embedded C/C++ programming
  • Experience in firmware design and development for 32 bit microcontrollers
  • IP Networking (TCP/IP,PPP), IOT Protocols (MQTT,HTTPS )
  • Experience suitable for the Application development ,UI development
  • Ability to understand and follow engineering processes such as SCRUM, version control, and bug management.
  • Ability to learn & lead endend software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and technical/user documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong team spirit and ability to independently engage with customers in a support capacity as the need arises from time to time.
  • Prioritise based on key result areas, to handle time optimally and timely meet agreed milestones
  • A role model individual who can mentor and instil technical leadership into team members

Skills and Proficiencies:

  • Proven experience of over 6years in Embedded Firmware with strong understanding of Hardware design.
  • Ability to drive decision through design and simulation tools. Strong learning of different tools and intent with handson experience
  • Can grasp design architectures & identify challenges in designs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of any Circuit design and Simulation tools.
  • Handle medium to high complexity projects independently with ability to provide mentorship to early talent.
  • Build work breakdown structure (WBS) of projects with support from senior project managers
  • Engage with project multifunctional teams for reviews to seek inputs under the guidance of Program & design managers

Desirable:

  • Experience in Project Management
  • FPGA based Design and programming using HDL
