development and verification using System Verilog Verilog or VHDL.The design engineer will work closely with software and systemengineers to conceptualize document design code verify and labdebugASIC FPGA and embedded firmware designs.

The ideal candidate willbe adaptable motivated customer oriented able to lead a small teamand willing to mentor others while learning newtechnologies.


Qualifications:
Must currently possess an active TS/SCI Clearance with FullScopePolygraph (FSP).
Designs and tests new integratedcircuits and hardware components for a wide variety of
applications and research. Designs documents and develops code (toinclude firmware)
for hardware devices such asApplication Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) and Field
Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) hardware.
Analyzes thefunction of existing integrated circuits and hardware componentsfor the
purpose of reverse engineering the hardware andfirmware.
Conducts the necessary hardware engineeringand related functions to modify and adapt
vendormanufactured hardware to meet specific needs andcontingencies.
Assist with designing new products andprocesses and improving and maintaining
existingproducts.
Communicate with the other engineeringpersonnel to coordinate the interrelated design
andassure project completion.
Conduct design analysis oncomponents and/or assemblies to assist in thedevelopment
process by ensuring designs are costefficient able to be manufactured and reliable
Designnew products and processes and improving and maintaining existingproducts
Must have experience with HDL simulators suchas QuestaSim ModelSim Incisive or
other industrystandard simulators.
Location is onsite at Fort MeadeMD.

Education/Experience:
Multiple openings for Junior Senior Principal and Sr

PrincipalEngineers:

Minimum three (3) years experience as a Design Engineerin integrated circuit or microelectronic component design orreverse engineering of the same is required.

Bachelors degree inElectrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accreditedcollege or university is required. Five (5) years of additionalhardware design engineering experience may be substituted for abachelors degree.
