Job Title: Associate Manager - Payroll

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Onboarding new employees and managing exit clearances.
  • Preparing monthly payroll with detailed variance analysis.
  • Executing monthly Salary Payments.
  • Recording accounting entries for Salary, PF, PT, TDS, etc.,
  • Conducting monthly GL reconciliations for salary-related accounts like Salary Payable, Prepaid Bonuses, PF, PT, etc.,
  • Handling monthly TDS reconciliation and tax remittances.
  • Preparing quarterly TDS computations and filing TDS reports.
  • Assisting in statutory audits in India and the US related to Payroll data.
  • Supporting Tax audits and Income Tax return filings for India's Payroll data.
  • Reviewing and posting accounting entries for employee expenses and travel claims.
  • Managing employee reimbursement processes and payments.
  • Assisting in data provision and valuation reports retrieval from LIC and actuary.
  • Orienting new employees on Payroll procedures during onboarding.
  • Providing prompt resolutions to employee queries regarding Salary, PF, taxes, etc.,
  • Handling Carta portal and monitoring ESOP exercises data for tax purposes.
  • Coordinating and drafting stock option exercise documents and guiding employees in stock exercises via cash and cashless methods.
  • Familiarity with USA payroll processes is advantageous.
  • Undertaking ad hoc tasks as required.

Qualification: CA Inter

Experience: 5 - 8 years

Skills: Proficiency in any payroll software and accounting ERP (Experience with Grety HR and Oracle NetSuite is beneficial).
