This is a significant position in research that requires the candidate to help build our expertise through developing teams that create impactful emerging technology research, which will be used to support client success through our world-class delivery platforms, including both traditional research and client-specific projects.


Our analyst teams hold responsibility for supporting our members by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting technical intelligence to inform them of critical developments for mid- to long-term technology direction / innovation.

Our analysts will exhibit skills in developing strategic and tactical recommendations and creating detailed emerging technology and application research. The key measure of success will be member-provided feedback for work contributed.


Key responsibilitiesConduct in-depth primary and secondary research to identify emerging technology trends, value chain dynamics, and potential opportunities or threatsThe analyst will develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the focused emerging technology area and will develop and monitor areas such as competition, innovation, market applications and moreDesign and execute qualitative and quantitative research, such as complex surveys and interviews, to gather insightful data such as technical informationAnalyze data using statistical software and other analytical tools to identify patterns, trends, and value segments that may be disrupted by the technologies identifiedCreate clear and concise research outputs, including visuals, to stimulate conversations and action for our members.

Support will also be expected to senior research leadershipMonitor and forecast technology impact timeframes and categories of influenceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine strategies based on research findings and recommendationsStay current on industry developments, best practices, and new research methodologies to continuously improve our research effortsSupport the project management teams within client specific requests on bespoke projects utilizing core research skills


Qualifications, Knowledge & ExperienceThe successful candidate will have a desire to accumulate expertise across a wide variety of fields and will preferably come with an advanced degree in a technology, or science-related field.

No consulting experience is required but it is preferred if the candidate can exhibit working knowledge of frameworks and tools used to solve client problems in this field.


Additional requirements include:

Degree in technology or science-related field; advanced degree preferred1-2 years of experience in practical research or a similar roleStrong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusionsDemonstrated experience in providing strategic and tactical recommendations based on detailed technology/business/market researchProficiency in statistical software, such as SPSS, and data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI preferredExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey research findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiencesStrong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple research projects simultaneouslyKnowledge of various market research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative research techniquesStrong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
