About the department

Our Clinical Data Operations & Insights group comprises about 400 professionals across India, Denmark, and North America. The team is responsible for managing clinical drug development globally, ensuring adherence to universal standards, regulations, and ethical business practices to deliver impactful products that benefit patients and society. The Data Review and Cleaning group within the Data Management & Centralised Data Review Department in Bengaluru focuses on modernizing data review processes, implementing innovative methodologies, and developing tools to support transformation.

The Position

As a Clinical Programmer Specialist, your role involves leading the development of intelligent solutions for data collection, consolidation, and analysis. You will design, maintain, and develop data visualization dashboards to aid users in understanding and analyzing data effectively. Your responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy, identifying errors, establishing governance protocols, and implementing risk-management strategies to maintain data integrity.

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards for real-time clinical data monitoring and analysis using Python or R.
  • Ensure data quality, rectify errors, establish governance protocols, and risk-management strategies.
  • Resolve issues that may arise during clinical trials, and create and execute reports using SQL, PL/SQL, SAS, Python, R, etc.
  • Develop efficient data systems by consolidating data from various sources, implementing data pipelines, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Translate complex data sets into easily understandable formats, test and debug applications, and integrate rapid data storage solutions.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, we seek a candidate with the following qualifications:

  • Masters / Bachelor's degree in Life Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of programming experience, preferably with 5+ years in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of data structures and best practices, basic data analysis, and visualization.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, R Shiny, Tableau, Power BI, or Spotfire.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, REST, APIs, and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with GxP guidelines in drug development.
