Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer with industry-relevant experience. As a CFD Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in industrial applications, product testing, and quality assurance of our state-of-the-art solver, Flow360. This position emphasizes collaboration as you will interface with multiple development teams – effective communication via many different channels across different time zones (US and Europe), is a must. You will be exposed to a wide variety of CFD applications, methods, and workflows and your work will contribute to development, education, support, sales, and marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • A master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field with an emphasis on Computational Fluid Dynamics. Candidates with Bachelors and 5 years of work experience or more will be considered too.
  • Knowledge of and experience applying industrial CFD best practices to a broad range of applications. Expertise with a variety of CFD methods is a plus, including experience with open-source and/or commercial CAD, meshing, simulation, and postprocessing software.
  • Demonstrated understanding of CFD principles, theories, and numerical methods. Apply this knowledge to simulate, analyze, and optimize fluid flow and heat transfer phenomena.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and knowledge of basics of Web technologies like REST API and Javascript. Experience with relevant libraries for scientific computing and numerical analysis, such as NumPy, SciPy, and Matplotlib. Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to model, simulate, and analyze complex fluid flow and heat transfer scenarios.
  • Attention to detail in conducting simulations, testing, and documentation to ensure accurate and reliable results. Possess strong organizational skills and ensure thorough execution of projects, especially within deadline constraints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment across time zones and adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities.
