Overview:

We are in search of an experienced Director of System Architecture to lead our System Architecture team at Ushur's product development department. This team is responsible for developing the top-notch automation platform for intelligent customer experiences in the industry.

The ideal candidate will need to be a proficient architect who can offer strategic technical guidance to both the team and the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervising the daily operations of the System Architecture team
  • Providing an in-depth view of the product architecture and taking charge of technical leadership
  • Actively participating in architecture decisions, evaluating technologies, and influencing the technology roadmap
  • Prioritizing tasks for the team, fostering agreement within the team, and creatively resolving business challenges
  • Being the representative of System Architecture and engaging in all backend technology selections
  • Contributing to concepts, suggesting secure custom integrations and solutions for customers, and assisting with their implementation
  • Working collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to define software requirements and best practices
  • Setting an example by demonstrating a strong sense of feature ownership, agility, and a thirst for continuous learning
  • Maintaining documentation, visuals, and guidelines for product architecture

Requirements:
  • Over 16 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role focusing on software architecture within product companies
  • Hands-on experience in software implementation
  • Proficiency in managing teams of skilled individuals and expertise in different programming languages and frameworks
  • Experience in designing scalable backend infrastructure and working with container orchestration systems
  • Skilled in RESTful API, microservices, event-driven architecture, and working in a Linux environment
  • Strong foundation in software development, problem-solving, and best engineering practices
  • Knowledge in web applications, cybersecurity, and open-source technologies
  • Exposure to vulnerability testing, proficiency in communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with architectural diagrams, UML design documentation, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases, AI solutions, and network security tools and techniques
  • Education: Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or Software Systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification in Java and related programs
  • Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP environments and familiarity with YAML/Swagger
  • Understanding of user experience concepts
