The Senior Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping the architecture and design of our client's large-scale Internet-based applications. As a key member of the Product Development team, specifically the Architecture team, you will be involved in enhancing the application architecture and framework. Researching new tools and technologies to provide recommendations on their implementation in Cvent applications. You will actively contribute to the design and execution of projects with a high level of technical complexity and scalability.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Apply extensive knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with designing and developing software applications
  • Specification, design, development, and debugging of large-scale, high-performance web applications and frameworks
  • Create reusable frameworks through hands-on development and unit testing
  • Document technical designs using various diagrams and descriptive component documentation

Guide the technological direction by recommending specific technologies, suggesting training and development activities, and monitoring the technological landscape.

  • Identify and propose solutions for technical debt and code refactoring
  • Collaborate with product implementation teams to ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices across all Cvent applications
  • Contribute to tools that enhance developer productivity through automation
  • Effective stakeholder management to garner support for ideas, proposals, and projects

What You Will Need for this Position:

  • Proven experience in building robust and scalable distributed systems and deploying multi-tiered production applications
  • Proficiency in cloud design and deployment models
  • Extensive hands-on experience in technologies such as Java, MVC, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Web Services, API development, Windows and Linux environments
  • Experience in Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and DevOps tools
  • Familiarity with databases like SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL technologies
  • Ability to estimate software development tasks accurately and work closely with Project Managers
  • Expertise in developing secure solutions and information security best practices
  • Understanding of deployment architecture in on-prem and cloud hosting environments
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex systems to various teams
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong grasp of cross-browser compatibility and limitations
