BluePearl Pet Hospital in Southfield, MI is looking for a dedicated Kennel Assistant to join their team

A Kennel Assistant is responsible for tending to the basic needs of animals under our care and maintaining the cleanliness of the hospital facility, equipment, and tools. This role may involve assisting with basic patient care, such as safely restraining animals during treatments.

As a Kennel Assistant, you will:

• Monitor patients for signs of health issues and promptly report any concerns to senior staff.
• Regularly sanitize hospital areas to uphold high care standards.
• Prepare meals for patients, maintain clean cages and bedding, and attend to litter boxes.
• Safely handle and restrain compliant patients during treatments.
• Provide routine care to patients, including walking dogs.
• Thoroughly clean and upkeep hospital equipment and tools.
• Track and report patient voids to senior Veterinary Assistant or Technician.
• Launder soiled laundry and ensure clean linens are readily available.
• Regularly inspect the facility to ensure cleanliness.
