Korean Language Expert (TOPIK 4 and above)

Interprets written or spoken material into one or more other languages, ensures meaning and context are maintained, creates glossaries or term dictionaries, possesses knowledge of multiple languages, works with individual clients and corporations. Coordinate executive communications, including taking calls, responding to emails and interfacing with clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES


• Reads through or listens to material in Korean language mainly, ascertains understanding of the meaning and context of that material, and converts it into a second language, making sure to preserve the original meaning


• Translates online, video, and other media by providing subtitles


• Consults with subject matter experts and other colleagues in order to understand specialized concepts and translate them appropriately


• Prepare internal and external corporate documents for team members and industry partners


• Schedule meetings, appointments and manage other related works


• Maintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents


• Uphold a strict level of confidentiality


• Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff and clientele


• Translates a variety of documents including literary, legal, research, technical, scientific, educational, and commercial materials

REQUIRED SKILLS


• Degree/ Diploma in Korean Language: Must be able to read, write & converse in Korean


• Advanced MS office & Computer skills


• Must have worked in a similar role for 2-3 years


• Strong interpersonal & problem-solving skills
