Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to join our modular furniture manufacturing team.

The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

This role involves managing production staff, maintaining quality standards, and meeting production targets.

Responsibilities:

Production Management:
o Oversee the day-to-day operations of the production floor.
o Develop and implement production schedules to meet daily and weekly production targets.
o Monitor production processes and workflow to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

Team Leadership:
o Supervise and lead a team of production workers, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
o Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
o Address any performance issues or conflicts promptly and effectively.

Quality Control:
o Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
o Implement and monitor quality control procedures and practices.
o Address and resolve any quality-related issues or discrepancies.

Safety and Compliance:
o Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
o Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for production staff.
o Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Inventory and Materials Management:
o Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate supply of materials and components.
o Monitor material usage and waste to optimize resource utilization.
o Assist in inventory audits and manage stock levels.

Continuous Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
o Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in manufacturing and production management.
o Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.

Reporting and Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output, downtime, and employee performance.
o Prepare and present production reports to management.
o Ensure proper documentation of processes, procedures, and quality standards.

Requirements

Qualifications:


Education and Experience:
o Associate's or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
o Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in the furniture manufacturing industry.
o Hands on experience in manufacturing of Modular Kitchens, Wardrobes & Furniture is required
o Must know how to make manual Cut list & prepare material requirement & invoicing
o Working knowledge in use of softwares such as Cabinet Vision or IMOS
o Experience on Biesse / Homag and other CNC Machines is essential
o Experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC)

Skills and Competencies:
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
o Proficient in production planning and scheduling.
o Solid understanding of quality control principles and practices.
o Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Proficiency with computer systems and production management software.



Working Conditions:


o Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
o May require standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials.
o Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required to meet production deadlines.
