Key Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in payments operations and scaling operational functions for NIPL Business, particularly in the field of Acceptance
  • Expertise in RuPay & UPI, Remittance on UPI, and UPI Licensing.
  • Acting as the Operations Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance on Operational Systems & policies for new projects affecting Payment Ops such as Foreign Exchange and Treasury Ops.
  • Managing stakeholder communication per project, defining operational standards to be upheld.
  • Ensuring completion of operational frameworks like Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Treasury, Settlement & Recon, operational flows, and templates for efficient project execution.
  • Ensuring compliance with Regulatory requirements for all new projects, including timely reporting to regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
  • Overseeing daily payment operations processing, reconciliation, and settlement with partners. Supporting Business Partnership team on inquiries related to reconciliation and settlement.
  • Engaging in project initiatives related to Payment Operations and partner onboarding to drive innovation and enhance user experience.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment-related issues promptly and systematically.
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for payments products and payment rails (UPI, Cards, NACH etc.).
  • Monitoring payment transactions, analyzing Technical/Business Declines (TD/BD), and resolving settlement queries.
Enhancing collaboration between NIPL functions and NPCI IT for customer onboarding and managing existing customer business.

  • Ensuring technical services' uptime and schemes' efficiency across all operating geographies in partnership with network partners.
  • Leading business analytics to derive consumer insights, identify operational gaps, and implement corrective measures.
  • Driving product ideation, growth opportunities, and product enhancements for existing partnerships.
  • Establishing frameworks for timely reporting to stakeholders and regulatory bodies across various geographies.
  • Facilitating product integration and implementation in coordination with the product and business teams.
  • Coordinating with Internal and External Auditors for due diligence and visibility of required areas.
  • Driving process improvements, automation, and generation of MIS & reports.
Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Banking, Cards, Bill Payments, Payment Gateway, or Aggregator Operations.
  • Engineering or equivalent graduate with an MBA from a reputable institution.
  • Strong knowledge of Payments domain, Payments Technology, Products, Operations, Risk, and related functions.
  • Expertise in Payments Operations including Foreign Remittance, Treasury, Forex Rate, Limits, NOSTRO/VOSTRO Settlement & Reconciliation systems.
  • Excellent analytical, creative thinking, and problemsolving skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
  • Detail-oriented with an investigative mindset and a proactive attitude towards questioning the norm.
  • Proficient in creating presentation decks, proposals, and using Excel.
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills for building relationships and collaboration.
