As a Cloud FinOps Lead specializing in SaaS, AWS, and Azure, you will be a key player in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure expenditure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cost-effective usage of cloud resources, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and accountability within our cloud environment.
Responsibilities
Identify opportunities for optimizing hosting costs within our SaaS architecture on AWS and Azure. Implement strategies to reduce costs while maintaining high performance and scalability. Monitor and analyze cost trends, providing recommendations for cost-saving initiatives. Develop and enforce policies and best practices related to SaaS-based cloud cost management. Generate regular reports and insights for stakeholders. Collaborate with development, operations, and finance teams to align cloud infrastructure with business goals. Provide training and guidance on cost optimization best practices to internal teams. Ensure adherence to industry standards and security protocols in all cost optimization efforts.Skills and Experience
Knowledge & Experience:
Must have 8+ years of overall experience eon cloud infrastructure. Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience in a dedicated FinOps role. Proven experience of managing cloud costs (preferably AWS). Proven experience of delivering FinOps projects and initiatives. Proven ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly. Experience with cloud cost management tools.Desirable:
Cloud Provider or FinOps Foundation Certification. Understanding of Software Development Lifecycles. Experience working alongside development functions delivering software within an agile development environment. Experience with compliance standards-based infrastructure such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials & FedRAMP, and general regulatory compliance management.Behaviors:
