OverviewJob Description: Backend Lead Developer / Associate Principal Software Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Backend Developer who will also serve as a Technical Lead for our development team. The ideal candidate is not only proficient in active coding and contributing to technical solutions but also possesses a deep understanding of functional and architectural design principles. They should excel in and PostgreSQL, with extensive experience in microservices architecture, AWS deployment, Docker containerization, REST API development, and code reviews. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate strong communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and be adept at creating and maintaining technical design documentation.
ResponsibilitiesActively code and contribute technical support to the development team. Understand and contribute to functional and architectural design discussions. Lead the technical direction and decision-making process for backend development projects. Expertise in and PostgreSQL, ensuring efficient and scalable solutions. Implement microservices architecture and design principles effectively. Deploy applications on AWS, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Containerize applications using Docker for seamless deployment and management. Develop and maintain RESTful APIs adhering to best practices and standards. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical insights. Create and maintain technical design documentation to facilitate collaboration and understanding within the team. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum 4 - 7 years of hands-on experience in backend development using API development with troubleshooting/debugging skills and PostgreSQL with total experience of 7 to 12 years. Good understanding of microservice architecture, and API design. Experience in supporting the cloud deployment team (AWS). Proven experience in leading small development teams, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality software solutions. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Nice to have exposure to the frontend technologies like React or Angular.
