Associate Group Engineer to Senior Group Engineer - Waste Water Modelling (Infoworks ICM)


To excel in this role, the candidate will be accountable for, but not restricted to, the following tasks:

  • Working on a variety of sewerage projects that contribute sustainable advantages to communities and the environment through diverse public and private clients.
  • Integrating hydraulic modelling (1D-2D) and engineering elements of projects.
  • Gaining understanding of the engineering limitations and possibilities related to modelling drainage solutions to ensure the accuracy of model outputs.
  • Executing technical tasks including hydraulic modelling such as model creation (1D – 2D), model validation, assessment, feasibility, optioneering, and conceptual design of solutions.
  • Comprehending client demands and executing work more efficiently by creating automation tools alongside maintaining high quality.
  • Demonstrating superior standard deliverables through various self-assessment methods and documentation.
  • Assisting in project management and adopting a proactive approach to manage client relationships, clarifying expectations and result measures to meet their needs and accomplish successful projects.
  • Supporting broader business lines and enhancing the internal team.

What will you bring to the table?

  • Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Geography.
  • 10 to 20 years of experience in hydraulic design or modelling.
  • Progressing towards obtaining chartership with a relevant institution (e.g. ICE, CIWEM).
  • Good working knowledge or experience with Infowork ICM, Mapinfo, QGIS, Sewer Gems, HEC-RAS, MicroDrainage, or similar tools.
  • A driven, self-motivated individual capable of operating under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Open to adapting to new or challenging tasks as per business needs.
