Overall Purpose of The Job

  • 1. Assist in the overall implementation and supervision of the Training Department objectives and functions.
  • Develop and organize a cost effective and realistic training program for all the crew deployed by the company.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • 1. Responsible for the delivery of assigned training courses.
  • Provides operational support to the Training Manager
  • Responsible for the delivery, review, update and training in the company Safety Management System for sea-staff prior to engagement in sea going duties.
  • Assists the Training Manager in support and supervision of trainees including cadet inductions
  • Assists the Training Manager and support Cadet development officer in training of trainees

Required Experience

  • ESSENTIAL:
  • Computer Literate
  • Chief Mate with min 2 years of experience OR Master
  • Tanker experience preferred

DESIRABLE:

  • Ship Management experience
