AuxoAI is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer (Lead) with strong AWS administration expertise to architect and manage cloud infrastructure while contributing to data engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and data platform integrations. This role requires both technical leadership and hands-on implementation to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure across the organization.

About the Role :

This Senior Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable platform architecture aligned with business and technical requirements. They will lead AWS infrastructure design and operations including IAM, VPC, networking, security, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Platform Architecture : Define, implement, and manage scalable platform architecture aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • AWS Infrastructure Management : Lead AWS infrastructure design and operations including IAM, VPC, networking, security, and cost optimization.
  • Data Platforms Integration : Design and optimize cloud-based storage, compute resources, and orchestration workflows to support data platforms.
  • Collaboration : Collaborate with Data Engineers and DevOps teams to streamline deployment of data pipelines and infrastructure components.
  • Infrastructure Provisioning : Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Integration : Integrate platform capabilities with internal tools, analytics platforms, and business applications.
  • Cloud Engineering Best Practices : Establish cloud engineering best practices including infrastructure security, reliability, and observability.
  • Techincal Mentorship : Provide technical mentorship to engineering team members and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • System Performance Monitoring : Monitor system performance, troubleshoot production issues, and implement solutions for reliability and scalability.
  • Cloud Engineering Leadership : Drive best practices in cloud engineering, security, and infrastructure as code (IaC).

Requirements :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience : 6+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles.
  • AWS Expertise : Expertise in AWS core services (IAM, EC2, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, etc.) and managing secure, scalable environments.
  • IaC Proficiency : Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
  • Data Platforms Understanding : Strong understanding of data platforms, pipelines, and workflow orchestration in cloud-native environments.
  • CI/CD Tools Experience : Experience integrating infrastructure with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Cloud Security Knowledge : Familiarity with cloud security best practices, access management, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Problem-Solving Skills : Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across cloud and data systems.
  • Leadership Experience : Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring role is a plus.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
