Director/Head - Admissions & OutreachLocation: Mumbai, IndiaDepartment: Admissions & OutreachReporting to: Chief Operating Officer – India CampusEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout the role:We are partnering with a prestigious global university launching its India campus, and are seeking a strategic leader to head the Student Admissions function. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to head our admissions and outreach function. This is a pivotal role responsible for achieving student recruitment goals, shaping admissions strategy, and ensuring a seamless and inclusive admissions experience for prospective students across India and beyond.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive admissions strategy aligned with the university’s growth, quality, and diversity goals.Achieve annual enrollment targets and monitor performance against institutional objectives.Oversee the full admissions lifecycle, including engaging with prospective students and families, evaluating, selecting and enrolling candidates.Lead, mentor, and manage the admissions and outreach team to ensure high service standards and operational excellence.Collaborate with internal and external partners to design and execute campaigns that attract strong candidates.Build and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, education consultants, and agents across India.Establish and manage systems for lead generation, tracking, nurturing, and reporting; oversee data collection and tele-counselling activities.Conduct market and competitor analysis to support innovative student acquisition strategies.Plan and deliver promotional activities such as education fairs, seminars, workshops, and school outreach programmes to strengthen brand presence.Ensure consistent brand representation across digital, print, and on-ground campaigns.Present regular reports on campaign performance, admissions pipeline, and outreach outcomes to senior management.Use admissions data and insights to improve conversion rates and guide strategic decisions.Ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory requirements.Design and implement the admissions policies and procedures in line with University’s goals and principles.Travel extensively and represent the university at national and international events and education forums.Required QualificationsMaster’s degree in business management, education, or a related field.10+ years of experience in student admissions and recruitment in premium higher education institutions.Extensive experience in student admissions and recruitment across India, with deep regional insights.Required SkillsEntrepreneurial Agility: A mindset to build and scale new initiatives, fostering innovation and institutional growth.Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to design and implement long-term admissions and outreach strategies aligned with organizational goals.Team Management: Skilled in leading, motivating, and developing diverse, high-performing teams.Pan-India Recruitment Expertise: Strong understanding of regional education dynamics, student behaviour, and recruitment networks across India.Networking & Relationship Building: Established relationships with schools, counsellors, coaching institutes, and education consultants; ability to expand and nurture these networks.Data-Driven Decision-making: Proficiency in analysing admissions and marketing data to guide strategy and improve conversion rates.Communication & Presentation: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in public speaking and stakeholder engagement.Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM systems, admissions management platforms, and digital marketing tools.Problem Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to address complex challenges and drive solutions.Customer Orientation: Dedicated to providing an excellent experience for prospective students and families.Travel Readiness: Willingness and ability to travel frequently across India for outreach, partnerships, and events.Why Join Us?Join the founding team of a leading UK university establishing a centre of academic excellence in India.Play a key role in expanding world-class opportunities for students in India.Contribute to building high-quality team, culture, and impact within a mission-driven, collaborative environment.Emeritus provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal or state laws
