As a Data Engineer, you will work closely with the Data team, stakeholders, and the Finance team to design, develop, and maintain a high-quality database solution that supports reporting, analysis, and data solutions. They will play a key role in investigating and resolving issues related to crypto/fiat transaction reconciliation, ensuring the accuracy of reports used by the finance team, and supporting the integration of new cryptocurrencies into the system. API integration experience is a plus.

✍️ Your daily tasks will be
  •  Integrate new data sources into the data warehouse environment with the support of the BI team.
  • Assist in the design, build, and maintenance of data warehouse schemas.
  • Develop and maintain ETL procedures for data ingestion from various platforms and external sources.
  • Use existing BI toolsets to build and maintain Business Intelligence Services.
  • Collaborate with the Platform team to understand platform architecture and functionality to facilitate downstream data consumption.
  • Support in the implementation of a full-stack data solution, from raw data to accessible datasets.
  • Collaborate on best practices for data design and implementation.
  • Ensure ETL processes and BI services have proper audit and reconciliation safeguards.
  • Guarantee the accuracy and consistency of all datasets within the DWH.
  • Work with the finance team to support crypto/fiat transaction reconciliation by investigating reported issues—both real and false alarms—and providing necessary fixes or solutions.
  • Support reconciliation efforts whenever new cryptocurrencies are integrated into the platform.
  • Partner in technical developments and optimization of the data warehouse for low latency and high data efficiency.

✔️ What we expect from you
  • A nature of challenging the status quo to improve processes.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a data warehouse technical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL tools and processes, with a solid understanding of data warehouse architecture.
  • Experience with end-to-end data warehouse implementations.
  • Proficiency in working with MongoDB or a similar database system.
  • Experience in industries like online gaming, e-commerce, or crypto/blockchain knowledge is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (e.g., Redshift, Firehose) and other data services.
  • API integration experience is a plus.
  • Scripting skills in Node.js or Python would be a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with finance teams to support transaction reconciliation and investigate discrepancies.
  • Ability to support reconciliation when new cryptocurrencies are integrated into the system.
  • Strong work ethic, a proactive approach, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be pragmatic and flexible in tackling challenges while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
