Wrestling Coach

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and passionate Wrestling Coach to join our high-performance team in Vijayanagara, Karnataka. The coach will be responsible for planning and delivering structured training programs, guiding athletes at different stages of development, and working closely with the support staff to ensure well-rounded performance progress.This role requires strong technical knowledge, good communication skills, and a collaborative approach to athlete and program development.Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesTraining & Development:Design and deliver wrestling training programs aligned with IIS’s performance objectives.Focus on both technical and tactical development of athletes across age groups and skill levels.Provide individualized feedback and help athletes set and achieve performance goals.Performance Monitoring:Evaluate athlete performance through regular assessments and competition analysis.Use data and video review tools to track progress and refine training plans.Competition Preparation:Prepare athletes for domestic and international competitions, ensuring readiness in all performance aspects.Support athletes during tournaments with strategy and technical inputs.Collaboration:Work closely with the High-Performance team including strength & conditioning coaches, physiotherapists, nutritionists, and sports scientists.Participate in periodic reviews, planning meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.Talent Development:Identify and nurture young wrestlers through IIS’s development and scouting programs.Support long-term athlete development pathways within the wrestling program.Required Skills and QualificationsStrong understanding of technical and tactical aspects of wrestling Minimum 4-5 years of coaching experience, preferably in a structured training or high-performance setup.Recognized coaching certification Good understanding of strength training, conditioning, and recovery principles.Strong communication, planning, and mentoring skills.About Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS)Inspire Institute of Sport (IIS) is India’s leading high-performance training center dedicated to developing talented athletes across Olympic disciplines.
