Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the direct tax compliance function, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all direct tax returns
  • Prepare and present regular reports on tax compliance status, potential risks, and opportunities to senior management Tax Technical
  • Develop and implement tax compliance strategies to mitigate risks and optimize tax efficiency
  • Heading compliance and litigation function
  • Advising Businesses on various day to day tax issues
  • Provide expert advice on direct tax matters, including tax planning and structuring of transactions
  • Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including tax authorities, to address inquiries and audits
  • Stay updated with changes in direct tax laws and regulations and ensure organizational compliance
  • Conduct periodic reviews and assessments to identify potential areas for process improvement
  • Coordination with consultants for timely and accurate compliance of all the tax returns, tax audit reports and transfer pricing audit reports
  • Interaction with consultants on tax representation
  • Overall responsibility of all the Direct Tax Compliances


Qualifications
Experience
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in direct tax compliance
  • Demonstrated track record of leading and managing a direct tax compliance team
  • Proven experience in handling complex tax matters and audits
Education Qualification
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) 
  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Taxation
Certification Required
  • Chartered Accountant (CA)
