Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned educational publishing projects from initial concept to completion.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for authors, editors, illustrators, and printers. Foster clear and consistent communication amongst all project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines.
  • Proactively identify potential roadblocks and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Oversee revisions, edits, and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and adherence to educational standards.
  • Manage book design, layout, and production processes, ensuring content aligns with educational objectives.
  • Maintain meticulous project documentation for future reference.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress for senior management.
  • Responsible for recruiting authors, editors, and illustrators, and fulfilling any other staffing requirements as specified by the company.
  • Conduct competitive testing with books from other publications to assess market positioning and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct market research to enhance product quality and competitiveness.
  • Work with vendors to secure printing and distribution services that meet our educational market needs.

Qualifications / Expectations:

  • Passion for creating educational resources that make a difference in children's lives.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in project management, preferably within the educational publishing industry.
  • Strong understanding of the educational publishing process, from manuscript acquisition to production.
  • In-depth knowledge of current educational pedagogy and curriculum standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize competing demands.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Microsoft Project).
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • We are looking to offer 5lac- 6lac per annum.
