This role is part of our platforms engineering team. Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:


  1. Take the lead on information security at Murf.
  2. Work hands-on with security architecture, and policies, respond to RFPs, etc.
  3. Work strategically with the executive team to drive security initiatives.
  4. Work cross-functionally across engineering, legal, and commercial:
  5. Engineering: Architecture and security reviews. Manage and improve SDLC.
  6. Legal: Drive compliance and certification projects. Manage ISMS.
  7. Commercial: Support pre-sales and act as subject matter expert in customer calls.
  8. Conduct risk assessments and identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in IT systems and processes


Qualifications:


  1. Experience in infosec of 1-3 years
  2. Audit and Compliance: Strong understanding of IT audit methodologies, control frameworks, and compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST etc)
  3. Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other relevant certifications are often required or preferred.
  4. Security Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of information security principles, practices, and technologies, including network security, application security, and data security
  5. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Science or a related field.
