JOB SUMMARY
The Head of Human Resources is a new and exciting role, responsible for HR functions in India for both the Stuba brand and the parent company, Go Global Travel. Experience in driving HR strategy, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with Indian labour laws are crucial requirements for this opportunity Leveraging comprehensive oversight of HR operations, including policy compliance, employee relations, talent development, and performance management, will be required to preserve Stuba's high staff attrition rate whilst supporting the growth plans in India.
Additionally, close collaboration with the head office will be crucial for facilitating Stuba’s staffing requirements for non-Pune based roles, ensuring compliance and strategic alignment with the broader objectives of Go Global Travel. Cultivating a culture of collaboration and excellence, the Head of HR will lead by example, fostering relationships between Stuba and Go Global Travel.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in HR management, including strategic planning and budget management and successful implementation of HR initiatives to support organizational growth and transformation.
- Strong business acumen and experience in partnering with senior leadership to align HR strategies with overall business objectives and drive organizational success.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in mitigating legal risks, ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Proven experience in employee relations, conflict resolution, and mediation.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing effective recruitment and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Familiarity with performance management systems and training strategies.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
- Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite.
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work effectively across time zones.
- Experience in collaborating with teams globally and managing upward effectively.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.HR Strategy and Budget Management:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals and set clear performance metrics that can be tracked and reported upon.
- Manage the HR budget effectively to support strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic planning initiatives and provide HR insights and recommendations.
2.Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with the head office to ensure compliance and strategic alignment for non-Pune based roles.
- Oversee company documentation related to employees and employment.
- Ensure that HR policies and practices comply with legal requirements.
3.Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor direct reports, including HR managers.
- Provide guidance and support for day-to-day HR operations and systems management.
4.Talent Acquisition and Recruitment:
- Develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- With relevant department head deliver agreed recruitment plans to meet organizational needs ensuring regular updates.
5.Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Manage local employee relations and resolve conflicts as needed.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement.
6.Performance Management:
- Implement performance management policies, processes, and guidelines.
- Utilize performance management tools for goal tracking, reviews, and feedback.
7.Training and Development:
- Develop a business training strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify training needs based on performance evaluations and organizational requirements.
8.Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate closely with the head office and other departments to support organizational goals.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
PLACE OF WORK AND WORKING HOURS
Pune, India
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Due to the nature of the role, flexibility will be required complying to different time zones.
