Job Title: Project Architect – OSAT Construction Project

Job Location : Jagirod, Assam

Reports to : Project Director / Project Head

Job Overview:

The Project Architect is responsible for overseeing all architectural aspects of an OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) construction project, ensuring the seamless integration of design concepts with functional, technical, and client requirements. With 15–20 years of experience in various building architectural design projects, the candidate will bring expert knowledge of building systems, codes, and large-scale project coordination. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and compliant architectural solutions tailored to semiconductor facility needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Architectural Design and Development:

• Lead the architectural design process for the OSAT project, ensuring alignment with client goals, technical requirements, and operational objectives.
• Develop design concepts and detailed plans for various project components, including cleanrooms, office spaces, utility buildings, and ancillary facilities.
• Oversee the preparation of architectural drawings, layouts, and specifications, ensuring they meet industry standards and local building codes.

2. Coordination and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with clients, engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure the architectural design aligns with structural, MEP, and construction requirements.
• Coordinate design efforts with other disciplines, resolving design conflicts and ensuring smooth project execution.
• Work closely with cleanroom and MEP specialists to address unique requirements for semiconductor manufacturing environments.

3. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

• Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and project-specific standards, including sustainability and energy efficiency requirements.
• Review and approve architectural plans, specifications, and submittals to maintain quality and consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct on-site inspections to monitor progress and ensure the construction adheres to approved designs.

4. Project Management and Leadership:

• Manage architectural deliverables, schedules, and resources, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
• Provide leadership to the architectural team, mentoring junior architects and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations, and workshops to communicate design intent and address feedback effectively.

5. Sustainability and Innovation:

• Integrate sustainable and energy-efficient design principles into the architectural plans, aligning with LEED or other green building standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies, applying innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and functionality.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design reports, progress updates, and as-built records.
• Support project handover by providing accurate and detailed architectural documentation to clients and operations teams.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Licensed/Registered Architect (or equivalent certification).

Experience:

• 15–20 years of experience in architectural design and project management, with exposure to large-scale industrial, commercial, or high-tech facilities.
• Proven experience in designing and managing projects with cleanroom, utility, or specialized industrial facility requirements.

Skills and Competencies:

• Expertise in architectural design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.) and BIM workflows.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and materials.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve design challenges efficiently.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
