Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and development of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) such as Multi-rotor and Fixed wing.
- Work on UAV/Drone power & electronic systems assembly for various payloads and sensors.
- Understand product requirements, oversee design process, collaborate with technical team, define requirements, and build system architecture and prototype.
- Perform UAV testing, operations, and lead customer trials.
- Planning and executing flight test plans for new firmware, testing different parameters, and integrating systems.
- Leading technical projects including planning and organizing tasks.
- Performing root cause analysis and solving complex technical issues.
- Planning and execution of test flight, processing, and analysis of flight data.
- Must have piloting skills of multirotor/Fixed wing drone using Ardupilot/PX4 based firmware.
- Preparing technical documentation for different lifecycle stages.
- Good skills in research and solution analysis.
Qualifications - Education/ Skills/ Experience:
An appropriate candidate will possess the following:
- B.E./ B. Tech or equivalent degree in any field.
- 4+ years of UAV industry experience.
- Experience in product development of UAVs and hands-on experience in Multirotor Unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
- Knowledge of concepts across– physics, aerospace, mechanical, electronics, communication, and control systems
- UAV flight testing experience.
- Knowledge of Arudpilot and PX4 firmware.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and embedded C is a plus.
- Experience in root cause analysis processes.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a changing environment on complex projects.
- Outstanding teamwork and an ability to interact with external and internal partners on fast-paced projects.
- Creativity, strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-starter and ability to work in a small start-up ecosystem.
