Job Responsibilities:


  1. Expense Analysis: Monitor and analyse operating expenses to ensure they align with the company’s budget and financial goals.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into expense trends and variances.
  3. Reporting: Generate detailed financial reports and dashboards to communicate expense performance to senior management.
  4. Cost Control: Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to optimize operating expenses.
  5. Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual and budgeted expenses.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to gather data and understand the drivers of operating expenses.
  7. Compliance: Ensure all-expense-related activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.


Required Skills:


  1. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse financial data and identify trends and variances.
  2. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in preparing and analysing financial reports.
  3. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations effectively.
  4. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial software (Oracle) and tools, such as Excel and any other Analytical tool like R or Python.
  5. Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  6. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Qualifications:


  • Education: A master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field or professional certification (e.g., CA with 2 yrs exp or CWA with 3 to 4 yrs or MBA with 4+yrs).


  • Experience: Previous experience in financial planning and analysis, particularly in expense management, is preferred.
