Job Title: SAP MM Consultant - Implementation Project

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM (Materials Management) Consultant to join our team for an implementation project. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, and deployment of SAP MM solutions to meet our business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of the SAP MM module, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management:
  • Lead SAP MM module implementation projects, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones to ensure project objectives are achieved on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and external consultants.
  • Requirement Analysis and Solution Design:
  • Conduct workshops and interviews to gather business requirements and analyze processes.
  • Design and document SAP MM solutions that meet business requirements and align with best practices.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify areas where existing processes and systems require enhancement.
  • Configuration and Customization:
  • Configure SAP MM module settings, including material master data, procurement processes, inventory management, and invoice verification.
  • Customize SAP MM solutions to meet specific business needs, including developing custom reports and enhancements.
  • Work with ABAP developers to implement custom code and enhancements as needed.
  • Testing and Validation:
  • Develop and execute test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify and resolve issues and defects during the testing phases to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for test cases, test results, and issue resolution.
  • Training and Support:
  • Provide training and support to end-users, including developing training materials and conducting training sessions.
  • Offer post-implementation support to address user queries and system issues.
  • Monitor system performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize operations.
  • Vendor Management System (VMS) Learning and Integration:
  • Learn and understand the functionality of the Vendor Management System (VMS).
  • Integrate VMS with SAP MM to enhance vendor management capabilities.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements based on VMS insights.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest SAP MM trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the SAP MM module.
  • Collaborate with other SAP module consultants to ensure seamless integration and overall system performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP MM implementation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of the SAP MM module, including material master data, procurement, inventory management, and invoice verification.
  • Proven experience in full lifecycle SAP MM implementations, including project planning, requirement analysis, solution design, configuration, testing, and support.
  • Proficiency in SAP configuration and customization, with a solid understanding of SAP best practices.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP MM certification is a plus.
  • Experience with S/4HANA implementation projects.
  • Knowledge of other SAP modules (e.g., SD, PP, WM) and their integration with MM.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools..
