Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in database automation tools, particularly Liquibase and Flyway, to join our dynamic team. As a contractor, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing database automation pipelines, ensuring smooth database migrations and version control processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Automation & CI/CD Integration:

Design and implement automated workflows using Liquibase and Flyway to manage database changes and version control.

Integrate database automation into existing CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployment.

Database Change Management:

Develop, test, and deploy database scripts and migration processes using Liquibase and Flyway.

Ensure proper versioning, rollback capabilities, and conflict resolution for database changes.

Collaboration:

Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to align database strategies with application requirements.

Assist in creating comprehensive documentation for automated database processes.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

Monitor automated processes and database performance, troubleshooting issues as needed.

Optimize database automation tools and pipelines for reliability and efficiency.

Compliance & Best Practices:

Enforce database compliance policies, including schema validation and auditing.

Follow best practices for secure and scalable database management in a DevOps environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

Proficient in Liquibase and Flyway for database version control and migrations.

Strong experience in DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, or similar.

Solid understanding of database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle).

Scripting & Programming:

Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Proficiency in SQL and database scripting.

DevOps Principles:

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and deployment automation.
