Position: Assistant Manager/Controller- Finance and Accounts

Experience Level: 3-5 Years

Software Expertise: Core working knowledge in Accounting platforms like Zoho Books, Tally environment

Job Summary: As an Accounts Officer with 3-5 years of experience in the IT based Solutions sector, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial transactions and records of the company.

Your expertise in Zoho Books will be crucial in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. You will work closely with the Director FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management:
  • Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payments accurately and in a timely manner using Zoho Books.
  • Reconcile bank statements and internal accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  1. Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  1. Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on budgetary performance, identifying variances and providing recommendations for corrective actions.
  1. Compliance and Controls:
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation.
  1. Process Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function.
  • Recommend and implement best practices for financial operations and reporting.
  1. Collaboration and Support:
  • Collaborate with other departments, especially HR& Administration to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Assist with payroll processing and other financial tasks as needed.
  • Provide support and training to junior accounting staff or new team members.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an IT Services BPO environment.
  • Proficiency in Zoho Books and other accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards. IGAAP/Ind AS working knowledge and basic understanding of US GAAP would be added value.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to present financial information clearly.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other financial software and tools.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Speaking and Reading Knowledge of Hindi and Marathi.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday.
  • Office-based with occasional remote work flexibility as per company policy.
  • May require occasional overtime or extended hours during peak periods or deadlines.
