Job Summary:

Physics Wallah is looking for an experienced Manager - Controllership to oversee financial operations and manage insurance policies for group companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, internal controls, and insurance management, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks across the organization.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the controllership function, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Manage and coordinate the insurance policies for all group companies, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with insurance providers and brokers to negotiate terms, premiums, and claims processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement internal controls and processes to improve efficiency and mitigate financial risks.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure proper allocation and management of insurance costs.
  • Monitor insurance claims and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Conduct regular reviews of insurance policies and coverage to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support decision-making.



Qualifications:

  • Education: Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant.
  • Experience: 5 - 6 years of relevant experience in controllership or finance, with a strong background in managing insurance for group companies.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience working with insurance providers.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
