Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales & Business Development:
  • Proactively identify and pursue new catering sales opportunities for corporate events, weddings, conferences, and other special events.
  • Develop relationships with potential and existing clients, including corporate customers, event planners, and local businesses.
  • Conduct sales calls, site visits, and presentations to prospective clients to showcase the hotel’s catering facilities and services.
  • Prepare and present proposals and contracts tailored to clients' needs, maximizing revenue.
  1. Event Coordination:
  • Collaborate with clients to plan and coordinate all aspects of their events, including food and beverage services, room setup, décor, and audiovisual needs.
  • Work closely with the banquet team, chefs, and other departments to ensure the smooth execution of events.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by overseeing the event from start to finish and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the event.
  1. Revenue Management:
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual catering sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities by upselling additional services such as décor, entertainment, and special menu items.
  1. Client Relationship Management:
  • Maintain strong relationships with repeat clients to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business.
  • Ensure post-event follow-up to gather client feedback and build loyalty.
  • Develop and maintain a database of prospective and existing clients to generate future business leads.
  1. Administrative Duties:
  • Prepare detailed event orders, contracts, and invoices to ensure accurate billing and payment collection.
  • Maintain accurate records of all catering sales activities, leads, and bookings using the hotel’s CRM system or software.
  • Develop marketing materials and promotions to attract new business in collaboration with the hotel's marketing team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 5 - 6 years of experience in catering sales, event planning, or hospitality sales.
  • Skills:
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to anticipate and respond to client needs.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and event management software.
