Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and passionate PGT English Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of English literature and language, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire students in grades 9 to 12 to develop a love for English. The teacher will deliver engaging, comprehensive lessons, assess students’ progress, and contribute to the holistic development of students.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Curriculum Planning and Delivery
  • Design and deliver high-quality English lessons in alignment with the curriculum standards (CBSE)
  • Develop lesson plans that are engaging, inclusive, and cater to various learning abilities.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
  1. Assessment and Evaluation
  • Prepare and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments to assess students’ understanding and progress.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, guiding them for improvement.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate this with parents during meetings.
  1. Classroom Management
  • Create a positive, safe, and conducive learning environment.
  • Manage student behavior and maintain discipline within the classroom.
  • Foster respect and inclusivity among students.
  1. Student Development
  • Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and analysis of texts, nurturing a deeper understanding of literature and language.
  • Provide individual support to students as needed and identify students who may need additional resources or tutoring.
  • Support students’ preparation for exams, competitions, and other academic activities.
  1. Professional Development and Collaboration
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, teacher training, and school development programs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the English department for curriculum alignment and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest educational trends, especially in the English language and literature.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Master’s Degree in English with B.Ed (required).
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level (preferred).
