Job description


Job Description: We seek an enthusiastic and detail-oriented SEO trainee to join our digital marketing team. As an SEO Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience working on both on-page and off-page SEO strategies to improve our websites ranking and overall online presence. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn and grow in digital marketing, especially search engine optimization. You will be guided by experienced SEO professionals, who help you develop a solid foundation in SEO practices, tools, and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. On-Page SEO:
  • Assist in conducting keyword research to identify valuable keywords for optimizing content.
  • Help optimize website pages, blogs, and articles using targeted keywords, including meta titles, meta descriptions, headers, and image alt texts.
  • Work on improving URL structures and internal linking to enhance site navigation and user experience.
  • Participate in enhancing website content to ensure SEO-friendly, ensuring proper keyword placement, density, and alignment with SEO standards.
  • Ensure websites are mobile-friendly and check for speed optimization.
  • Conduct regular SEO audits to identify technical SEO issues and work with the team to address them.
  1. Off-Page SEO:
  • Learn and participate in building backlinks through link-building techniques, such as guest posting, directory submissions, and outreach campaigns.
  • Research and identify high-authority websites for external linking opportunities to improve our website's domain authority.
  • Assisted in creating and implementing social media strategies that support SEO and help generate traffic.
  • Monitor competitors' backlinks and develop strategies to outperform them in search results.
  • Stay updated with Google algorithm changes and understand how these changes impact off-page strategies.
  1. Analytics and Monitoring:
  • Use SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to track website performance and SEO efforts.
  • Analyze organic traffic trends, track keyword rankings, and assess the effectiveness of both on-page and off-page activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on SEO performance, identifying areas for improvement and presenting them to the team.
  1. Learning and Development:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in SEO and digital marketing.
  • Attend webinars, workshops, and training sessions the company provides to sharpen your SEO skills.

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and how search engines work.
  • Strong research skills and ability to perform keyword research using SEO tools.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, as content optimization is a key part of the job.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console is a plus.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and attention to detail.
  • Basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a bonus but not required.
