ARISE IIP is a pan-African infrastructure and logistics solutions company developing ecosystems designed to make Africa thrive. We identify opportunities in commercial and industrial value chains across Africa, and conceive, finance, build and operate the necessary infrastructure to allow businesses to develop and fulfil their potential. We do this alongside local partners and host governments to ensure that our operations have the greatest impact on the ground. ARISE today comprises three separate companies, namely ARISE Ports & Logistics (P&L), ARISE Integrated Industrial Platforms (IIP), and ARISE Infrastructure Services (IS).
Overview of the position
General Manager Business Development ,West and East would be responsible for managing large industrial businesses in B2B formats, keeping a tab on S&D of the region and other market information.
It is a well-rounded role that gives the experience of managing a large industrial clients, who are looking forward for expansion or new business opportunities.
If you have proven experience in managing for SEZ Sales roles in emerging/ Upcountry markets, the role entails absolute responsibility for both Country / Product levels. Exposure to Micro & Macroeconomic factors of the business environment would therefore require a strong conceptual and analytical bend of mind to operate in the international business environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1) Building a Strong Investor pipeline who have an interest in investing in Africa.
2) Meet various investors and associates in West and East region to give clarity related to the business environment, Ease of setting up business & Operating business in the Industrial zones of Arise IIP.
3) Influence and build a business case for clients to choose Arise Zones as a preferred investment location over other potential locations.
4) Undertake market research to identify key market trends and prospective investors.
5) Communicate frequently and develop a strong working relationship with Association, Industry experts, and Partners.
6) Organize Roadshows and Investor Meet programs for potential inward investors in Africa along with the Team.
Operations & Business Management
1) Contribute to the lead generation initiatives in West and East region by attending trade shows & networking events and leading seminars as required.
2) To follow up with various leads originated from the key offices or departments and coordinate with zone representatives for the smooth closure.
5) Handling West & East Business Development team and closely work with them for generating quality lead and closure.
6) Monthly review and lead analysis to the management.
Expertise Details:
Should have at least 18+years of experience in Industrial zone sales, African continent experience would be an added advantage .
Good negotiating skills and interpersonal skills
Have an ownership mindset.
