GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS


  • Having bachelor’s degree and/or higher education level
  • Worked in the maritime and transportation sector for at least 5 years and has experience in commercial departments for 3 years
  • Thriving at building networks, leveraging analytical and critical thinking, and handling all kind of problems
  • Demonstrating strategic insight, making confident decisions and communicating effectively
  • Managing stress and showing resilience, bringing relentless drive and unwavering integrity to every challenge
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English
  • No travel restrictions
  • Profound knowledge in MS Office Programs
  • Locating in Mumbai-India


JOB DESCRIPTION


  • Formulate and execute a clear and effective business development strategy in line with the guidelines given by Arkas Line Executive Board
  • Monitor and provide market intelligence, possible risks and business opportunities and define a modified approach either locally and/or with Arkas Line
  • Analyze relevant India market and specific market drivers for Exports & Imports and logistics
  • Analyze the commercial performance of agencies by working closely with sales team to expand business
  • Build a network of relationships at the required levels within every stakeholder
  • Take necessary precautions to avoid vessel berthing delays and involve when vessel operation is not completed in due time, while being in close contact with Arkas Line
  • Monitor overdue reports and take actions to solve the cases together with relevant agencies and Arkas Line
  • Monitor outstanding demurrage & detention cases and make sure instructions will be done on time
  • Monitor outstanding payments and doubtful receivables and coordinate with the agencies to take immediate actions in line with Arkas Line’s strategy
