Job Summary:


We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Dealer to join our Portfolio Management Services (PMS) team at Vallum Capital. The role primarily involves executing buy and sell orders for various PMS strategies with brokers, ensuring smooth and timely trade execution. The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of Excel for preparing trade files, performing bank reconciliations, computing fees, and supporting overall portfolio management operations. A strong working knowledge of technical analysis and coding skills is desirable for adding value to the investment process and automating tasks.


Key Responsibilities:


Trade Execution

Execute buy and sell orders for different PMS strategies with brokers in a timely and efficient manner.


Order Management:


Manage and reconcile trade orders, ensuring all trades are correctly recorded and aligned with the strategy mandates.


Excel-based Data Management:

Maintain and update Excel files for portfolio records, including tracking trades, cash flows, portfolio valuations, and performance metrics.


Desirable : Technical Analysis/Coding:

Utilize technical analysis tools to support the portfolio management team with insights on market trends and price movements.


Key Skills & Qualifications:


Education:

Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field. Additional certifications like NISM, CFA (Level 1 or above), or technical analysis certifications would be a plus.


Experience:

2-5 years of experience in trade execution, preferably within a PMS, Broking, or institutional trading environment.


Excel Proficiency:

Advanced Excel skills are essential, with a strong ability to handle large datasets, prepare reports, perform bank reconciliations, and compute fees.


Communication Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with brokers, internal teams, and other stakeholders.


Personal Attributes:


Proactive and self-motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Compensation:


The compensation package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
