About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Naphtha Trading Business Development Manager to lead and execute a specialized project focused exclusively on physical naphtha trading and business development. This role involves working closely with suppliers, buyers, and logistics partners to establish and manage a sustainable supply chain for Naphtha.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
  • Identify, evaluate, and engage with key stakeholders in the naphtha supply chain, including suppliers, buyers, and logistics providers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industrial buyers and refineries requiring naphtha for feedstock or blending purposes.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand market reach and secure profitable contracts.
Trading Operations:
  • Analyze and negotiate terms for purchasing, selling, and delivering physical naphtha.
  • Ensure competitive pricing by monitoring market trends, regional demands, and geopolitical factors.
  • Structure and close deals while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations.
Supply Chain Management:
  • Oversee logistics operations to ensure seamless transport and delivery of naphtha.
  • Collaborate with shipping and freight companies to optimize costs and timelines.
  • Address and resolve any operational bottlenecks related to the naphtha supply chain.
Market Intelligence and Risk Management:
  • Conduct detailed market research and provide insights on pricing trends, demand shifts, and competitor strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with trading, such as currency fluctuations, credit exposure, and compliance requirements.
  • Stay updated on international regulations and industry best practices related to naphtha trading.

Qualifications and Experience
Professional Background:
  • 5-10+ years of experience in naphtha trading, business development, or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of sourcing and executing physical naphtha deals.
  • Familiarity with regional naphtha markets, particularly in the Middle East, Africa, and India.
Technical Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of the physical naphtha trading lifecycle, including sourcing, pricing, contract structuring, and logistics.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics such as supply-demand fluctuations, price arbitrage opportunities, and refinery feedstock requirements.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for naphtha imports and exports.
Skills:
  • Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities to evaluate pricing trends, market risks, and trading opportunities.
  • Proficient in tools such as Microsoft Excel, CRM platforms, and market analysis software.
Network and Relationships:
  • Established network within the naphtha trading ecosystem, including suppliers, buyers, and logistics providers.
  • Experience in building long-term partnerships with refineries and industrial buyers.
Soft Skills:
  • Independent, results-driven professional with a proactive mindset.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges in a fast-paced trading environment.
